School Leader’s Toolkit for Managing Teacher Workload and Staff Wellbeing

This is a one day course split over Monday 6th July and Tuesday 7th July; sessions will be 2.00pm to 4.30pm on both days

School leaders have a responsibility to manage staff workloads in a way that enhances learning without negatively impacting on staff well-being. There should be an overview consultation process of teaching and learning effectiveness with staff, concluding in agreed shared practices. Also, there needs to be school led well-being provision, as well as staff taking responsibility to look after their own well-being, both inside and outside school.

This course will also consider the current emotional and well-being needs of professionals during the Covid 19 pandemic. As such, it will introduce the Kubler - Ross Change Curve, Covey’s Circles of Concern, Influence and Control, and will introduce a simple audit which can be used to measure current stress levels.

Presenter Profile

Over the past 30 years, Ross McWilliam has worked in over 1,000 schools and businesses. Through his work in the field of mindsets, he has changed the lives of one million children, young adults, and senior professionals. Ross has demonstrated an unrivalled record of engagement, education and empowerment.

During this time, Ross has developed into a much sought-after international keynote speaker and is a published author on mindsets. Not wanting to rest on his laurels, Ross is currently studying for his PhD.

Ross now specialises in growing the talents of professionals and helps them reach their full potential, either individually, or collectively as a high achieving team. Whether it’s working with the ‘onboarding skills’ of new recruits, or ‘polishing up’ senior executives, Ross achieves results.
