This course will be online:-

This is a one day course, split over three twilight webinars - 1, 10 and 15 March 2021 (4.30pm to 6.00pm on each date)

Dawn will be presenting three sessions based on the newly published "Making Every RE lesson Count " book (published by Crown House Publishing). Each session will look at two of the six ' Making Every Lesson Count' principles.

Session one will introduce the foundational principles and explore how 'Challenge' and 'Explanation' can be used in RE lessons.

Session two will move on to look at how important 'Modelling' and 'Practice is to support students.

Session three will consider the principles 'Feedback' and 'Questioning' and how RE teachers can refine their practice in these areas.

In each session Dawn will share some of the research that supports the principles and practical examples of how RE teachers can try these strategies in their own teaching. She will also be looking at how these principles can link to a multi-disciplinary approach to RE.
