Course Outline:
Our online Spanish up-skilling course is designed for secondary language teachers who are eager to add Spanish to their teaching repertoire. This course is tailored for those with no prior knowledge of Spanish, leveraging your existing language-learning expertise to fast-track your progress.

This course is for language teachers with no previous knowledge of Spanish.

Course Delivery:

• Interactive sessions with live webcam presentations by Adam
• Engaging slides and activities
• Opportunities for delegate questions, comments, and collaborative work
• Access to course slides and additional materials post-session

Course Focus:

• Introduction to phonetics, pronunciation, and intonation
• Building confidence in oral fluency
• Gaining speaking and listening skills
• Developing reading and writing capabilities
• Understanding grammatical structures with a focus on the present tense
• Detailed exploration of different types of verbs in Spanish, highlighting often overlooked areas
• Acquiring essential vocabulary and language structures

We also offer a level 2 course as a follow up to the above or for those teachers who already have a basic knowledge of Spanish. If you are not sure whether you should attend Level 1 or Level 2, please contact us for a full breakdown of the content for each of these courses.

The course will be split over six days, running 6pm to 8:30pm Australia (AEST) / 9am to 11.30am UK Time on each day. Dates to follow shortly.

Presenter Profile

Adam Samuel is an experienced and qualified language trainer, with over fifteen years of experience teaching EFL in both Spain and the UK. He also has extensive experience teaching Spanish to students in Key stages 3, 4, and 5 in the UK. Adam holds a BA in European Studies and completed his PGCE at Bath Spa University, which has allowed him to develop a deep understanding of language learning and teaching techniques.

Over the past decade, Adam has lived and worked in Spain, where he has taught EFL in a language academy, provided General, Business English and Spanish language training online and also been involved in the creation of online language learning resources and platforms, which he has leveraged to enhance his students' learning experiences.

Adam is particularly proud of the Spanish upskilling training course he has developed, which he has been running for the past three years. During this time, he has optimized the course and is always looking for ways to improve it, ensuring that it remains relevant and effective for his students. His dedication to language teaching and commitment to enhancing his skills and knowledge led him to recently complete a Master's degree in Educational Psychology at a Spanish university. This has given him an even greater insight into effective language learning and teaching techniques, which he applies in his teaching to help his students achieve their language goals.
