This course runs from 4.30pm to 6.00pm, plus extra time at the end for anyone who wishes to stay on and ask further questions.

Dr Rachel Hawkes
is a renowned speaker and leader in languages education. Currently she heads CPD for LDP (Language-driven Pedagogy) – a partnership between the University of York and the Cam Academy Trust – bringing research and practice together to strengthen curriculum design, pedagogy and GCSE uptake and outcomes.

She recently directed the creation of French, German and Spanish resources (KS2–KS4) for Oak National Academy. A former President of the Association for Language Learning, Head of Modern Languages, AST and SLE, Rachel is co-author of several textbooks and holds both an MEd and PhD from Cambridge University on teacher–learner interaction in secondary languages classrooms.
