Achieve • Belong • Thrive: The Golden Thread of Inclusion in Secondary Leadership
Embedding Inclusion, Attendance, and Personal Development & Well-being for SEND, PP, and EBSNA cohorts.
- Inclusion is now central to inspection – Ofsted’s new report-card approach places Inclusion, Attendance & Behaviour, and Personal Development & Well-being at the heart of evaluation.
- Attendance is a cultural indicator – Inspectors no longer see attendance as a single data point; they expect evidence of a whole-school culture that supports belonging and engagement.
- Schools will struggle without a clear strategy – Persistent and severe absence among SEND and PP pupils is rising nationally, and inspectors will expect leaders to show measurable improvement and robust systems.
This workshop equips leaders to:
- Link inclusion and personal development to tangible attendance outcomes (lower persistent absence, improved EBSNA stability).
- Demonstrate progress and experience for vulnerable cohorts through credible, evidence-based strategies.
- Build systems that withstand scrutiny: early help, trauma-informed practice, governance assurance, and data validity.
Cost: £150 per delegate; £50 each for subsequent delegates from same school
